Enough Said

James Gandolfini’s work in Sopranos was so powerful and defining that it’s an effort to not think he’s Tony Soprano whenever you see him on screen. But his final performance in Enough Said is modest, touching, and utterly without edges. He’s a surprisingly strong romcom lead, and wonderfully paired here with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. As Seinfeld says accusingly to Elaine, “You can be very charming when you want to be.” And she can. But as she’s proved countless times, she can also be the bad guy – and she has to be both to make Enough Said work. This is the kind of movie that, when it comes out, you say to yourself – “I’ll watch it on streaming.” So, watch it on streaming…(Paramount+).
